Ever wonder how the large OEM’s keep track of the volume of their inventory? As part of the Aerospace Supply chain, do you have areas where you could better manage and control your inventory?
Please join us in Santa Fe Springs on Wednesday, March 25, 7:00–9:15am, (please note that is a change from normal meeting date and time) when Michael Glenn Moore, Automated Storage Specialist, Raymond Handling Solutions, will be discussing ways to maximize floor space, improve productivity, picking accuracy and inventory control with automated storage and retrieval systems, such as the KARDEX REMSTAR AUTOMATED STORAGE system. Whether you are out of space or would just like to improve the way you do business, this session should prove beneficial to you.
Al Silar will then provide information on Raymond’s Lean Management System, which is built on the same foundation and principles as the world-renowned Toyota Production System that was invented by Toyota in the 1950’s and refined over the decades through continuous improvement. With the significant amount of inefficiencies and waste that can be created in business, understanding and applying efficient processes is crucial to workflow and overall success. Through a proven process of visualization, organization, and standardization, it will be outlined how an members of the Aerospace Supply Chain can identify improvement opportunities and implement changes designed to improve workflows, allowing a company to provide defect free, on-time delivery of their products and services.
Following the Automated Storage and Lean Management Sessions, we will take a brief tour of the Raymond Handling Solutions facility. Our tour will include narrow aisle lift trucks, vertical lift modules, carousels, lean management results and a behind the scenes look at their operation.
The meeting is free for A&D Forum Individual Members and Corporate Members (exclusive access until March 4), and $40 for Non-members ($30 Early Bird after March 4 and until March 18). Register to attend at: https://adfsbmar20.eventbrite.com.
