“The New Orbital ATK and New Directions in Space Acquisition”
Los Angeles Chapter meeting on February 20
10 February 2015 is Day One for the new Orbital ATK. It’s a new company combining the Aerospace and Defense Groups of ATK with launch and satellite provider Orbital Sciences.
This merger is happening at a time of significant change in space acquisition. The technology innovations from many “New Space” companies, and some “Old Space” companies, are spawning business innovations in areas like remote sensing, resource development and space logistics. At the same time the Air Force looking at ways to streamline its often challenging procurement processes to reduce the costs of its systems and take advantage of some of these commercial trends.
Please join us in Los Angeles on Friday, February 20, 2015, 7:30am – 9:00am PDT (networking at 7:00am), when Arnie Streland, Director of Strategy and Business Development, ATK Aerospace Group, will describe how the new company is well positioned to take advantage of the many changes impacting the space community, creating opportunities for the new company and its potential teammates.
